                                          Upper right hand corner, shot downward

                                          I added tears, still working with the outer parts of the thorns.

                                          I'm going to add a sheer overlay of cobalt blue to the outer portions.

Work in Progress/48x48

I started this piece this week. A year ago I had a dream that I painted  Jesus, and I've been too afraid ever since that I wouldn't be able to do it. This week, I climbed into my Heavenly Father's lap and started.

This piece is two paneled. My latest obsession is the film "Sunshine". The story starts with a spaceship "Icarus II" on a mission to restart our dying sun with a stellar bomb, after the first ship the Icarus I had gone unheard from 7 years prior. The psychological kickbacks from each crew member and the STUNNING soundtrack have inspired this piece. Watch the movie!
